Greek Peak Conditions

It’s cute you believe that all profits go back to the hill. Do you have any proof?
I've been trying to disengage you but this one, I feel, requires a response.
The owners don't even take a paycheck out of the place, once again totally screwing over the local community. Proof? Have you not noticed all the yearly upgrades?

Good point about Plattekill. When Laz bought Plattekill he tried 7 days a week the first year (1993) and he got killed on it. Never did it again.

Ok so you went to gore once and they didn’t run all their chairs lifts. What other major nys ski areas limit accessible terrain by not running a lift?

I'm a Gore passholder. This happens at Gore several times per season. (Follow Gore Conditions and you will see the whining). I'm guessing Whiteface and Belle do this too, but I haven't skied them as much. Be curious about Holiday Valley. Pretty sure Hunter closes terrain midweek too.

How do we define major ski area? Let's create a list and see who opens every terrain pod every day.

People are funny. If I came to your business and insisted you run it in a less profitable way, you'd probably tell me to go pound sand.

See the Bristol thread. They don't run the Galaxy and Sunset chairs all the time, although the terrain is accessible if you don't mind a little hiking or poling. The Rocket triple is only run on as "as needed" basis on weekends or if the Comet detach has issues.

So snowboarders should traverse some of the flattest parts of the hill to access the park?
Belleayre is known for its flats. One big long ridge up top that the dang boarders have to hop, skooch or walk. I lend them a pole or offer a push if I see real struggle. The upper mountain lifts (Overlook and Tomahawk) are often closed midweek. This leaves the lower mountain flats necessary to navigate down to the Express Lift or all the way to the Gondi. It is what it is, and what it is, is first world problems.

You must be fun at parties.
