Hey all - it's been awhile since I posted here. Looks like I am finally going to be able to make it up to Gore the first week of March. We are looking into staying at the Super 8 near St. George. Reviews are actually pretty good for a Super 8 and per google maps it will be about a 30 minute drive to the resort. Has anyone here stayed there and if so what did you think?

Thanks! And apologies if this was not the correct place to post questions about lodging.

I guess I actually mean the Super 8 by Warrensburg, which seems to be a bit closer than coming from downtown st george

I stay there at least once per year if there is going to be a dump and want to be closer. Not going to get chocolate on the pillows but for a super 8 it serves the purpose and is clean. Right off the Northway exit so very convenient. From there to the mountain it’s about 25 minutes.

I have stayed there many times--we refer to it as the log cabin. It is perfectly fine. Right across from gas and McDonald's and right next to a Price Chopper (which closes by like 10pm). I have stayed in worse places near ski mountains for $200/night.

Super 8 at Warrensberg sounds sucky. Look around for whatever is open at Lake George, or do what I do and stay in Saratoga Springs. Yeah, another half hour, but easy Northway half hour, and tons of bars and places to eat. Lodging, which is built out for race season, is well discounted. You may even luck out and find some music.

I stayed there a bunch of times in the 2000s. It's pretty basic, but among the better Super 8's I've ever stayed at. Not sure how it is now.

I've stayed at the Best Western right off the Northway near Lake George.

How many nights are you planning on staying to ski Gore?

Friend of a friend runs this place. When the website was updated before it looked cozy and reasonably priced. If I recall correctly, they had both dorm style accommodations as well as some private rooms. Right in North Creek.

Not sure your price range, but closer to the mountain you have Gore Mountain Lodge/ Becks, Alpine Lodge and The Lodge at North Creek all within 5 minutes of the mountain. Garnet Hill Lodge 15 minutes.
