... how long the runs were and just how much terrain there is, I guess the years of midwest skiing has gotten my brain used to small hill and short runs. I do feel Gore still had the same old school day ski area feel to it with modern lifts and modern snowmaking.

Midweek at Gore is a sweet treat. Glad ya got some with yer family.

Not sure why the Oscar Meyer wiener mobile was there. I didn't see it until 4:45 when I went to get the car and it was gone by the time I pulled into the loading area

Hotdoggers from the midwest piloted that beast.

Maybe they just wanted to make ya feel more at home.

What is the bag storage situation at Gore? I see on their website they have paid lockers. Is there any place to leave bags for free?

There are several shelves on the first floor where you can leave bags. A lot of people also leave them on the floor against the wall when the shelves fill up. I have had my skis stolen from the racks outside, but so far my ski bags and lunch box have not been touched.

You can also go into the basement and they have racks for bags

Thanks. We spent three days there earlier this week and had a great experience. Nice trails, generally good snow (at least on the upper mountain) and I really digged the spaciousness and bag storage at the main lodge.
