Gore Mountain Conditions

Conditions better than yesterday. Got to backwoods after lunch and it was actually good.
Started to tge bowl but took the shuttle to the main base due to all lifts on hold because of ice. AE was running before 9:00, but probably 11:00 before north and gondola opened.

I do wish the mountain would do a better job communicating what’s going on. They don’t even inform the employees.

Literally my biggest gripe with Gore. Post an accurate trail report say around 7 each morning that reflects what is actually going to open and a snowfall total. If there are delays note them. If they did this a big chunk of my gripes would be gone. Not kidding

I’m writing up a report saying when the forecast calls for freezing rain, put the damn chairs in the shed. I only want $100,000 for this report. I’ll send the invoice to lake placid.

Based on the webcam, they did put the AE2 chairs in the shed. Not sure why they never use the sheds for the gondola and hudson. The carriers are always left on the line, so if there is any ice, then everything seizes up.

I guess that would help explain why that lift was running before 9:00.
