Gore Mountain Conditions

What a difference a day makes.

Not sure the plan or lack thereof with snowmaking. They are two connector trails away from opening the interconnect. Hedges and Cedars. Yet zero snowmaking there.

Think they are trying to keep it a PITA to get to. When the started the year blowing snow they were 100 percent sure the lodge would be operational. After a few meeting and the realization having a couple hundred people in ski outfits pissing in porta potties was a disaster waiting to happen I believe they changed tactics. They don't want traffic there yet. Hopefully they can resolve something in the next few weeks and have it ready to go for next holiday. Orda is 0-2 in their recent build outs.

Is the delay exclusively about the sewer system? While I have heard conflicting reports about who is responsible for that delay, I don't understand why they couldn't put a tank in and pump it, as was discussed.

Today proved that this mountain knows how to bounce back.

After yesterday’s wild mix of rain, wind, and snow, our groomers and snowmakers sprang into action overnight.

By morning, the sun was shining, the turns were smooth, the snowguns were roaring at the summit, and the Ski Bowl joined the party with some newly opened terrain.

🆕 And tomorrow... we're expecting to drop ropes on Burnt Ridge, completing the interconnect and allowing skiing between base areas!

Who skied today? How was it?

All it takes is record cold to make snoloco's dreams come true!

Actually sno wants all pods by Christmas, but this is as close as we've ever come, I believe.
