Gore Mountain Conditions

So I just got off the mountain and it skied well where I was. As long as you stay out of the woods you won't damage your skis. The cover is fair. They blew a bit of snow and ruined quicksilver...some may enjoy it though. My ROD was Tahawus glades. I did it 5 times using pipeline so I didn't have to ride the north chair. Backwoods was really good. And empty with racing on echo. Upper open pit to Darby woods was nice but you didn't want your good skis. My second favorite was Moxam. Straightbrook glades are sketchy but still open and Darkside Glade skied very well despite the amount of people skiing it. I actually had to wait my turn. Upper Darby was open but I didn't have the patience to wait. They are trying and I skied way more today than normal. Guns going on the lower mountain. Eh it is what it is and I had fun!

I had a good day today and conditions held up quite well. Cloud by the upper steilhang junction was the only exception. Once away from the base area there were no lines. Burnt ridge and the bowl felt like we had our own private mountain.

For me, ski bowl lift is kind of a game changer. On the old lift, I never stayed there for more than a run or two. Now fun to lap 46r, do a few runs on the other trails (hope for the glades eventually) head back to Burnt Ridge for a bit, and then out via Noeth Quad to the saddle.

Mountain skiing very nicely. Twister, Pine Knot, Hawkeye, and Chatiemac were all excellent early in the day. A lot of snowmaking progress since Monday. Snowmaking whales on Topridge, Showcase, Wild Air, and Uncas. I think we are in decent shape considering there has been no large snowstorm yet. Beautiful day.
