Gore Mountain Conditions

Oh wait a minute... I am directionally challenged. Do we want load from the left or load from the right? You would think with all the huge advances in technology some genius nerd would have come up with a Star Trek "beam me up" transporter for skiers. Forget sending tourists to outer space. Let's concentrate on a 'beam me up' transporter ski lift.

Old cabins coming off this morning I think.

While we wait for that first dump of real snow....
I stumbled upon a discussion about lost and abandoned ski areas in the northeast.
NELSAP.org
North East Lost Areas Project
I was surprised to see some of the names on there... that I thought were still open.
Brodie Mountain was one I remembered.
Guess its downfall was being bought out by Jiminy Peak.
I worry about Willard Mt.
Getting tougher and tougher to complete against areas with deep pockets.
Plus private owners just plain get old and deserve the chance to retire.
West Mt has built a reputation of its racing program
Yet now keeps floating plans for the development of bigger "Resort Type" improvements.
But do they have the $$$ to complete with State financed projects like Gore???
Over extending and a poor snow season could be problem for all the small mts.
I am a senior so I get great discounts...
But how do young families drop hundreds of $$$ multiple weekends a Winter?
In my area many potential skiers are opting for Hockey as their Winter sport of choice.
And what does this have to do with Gore Mt conditions?? 🤷‍♂️

Ripitz.... thank you for your suggestion. Yes, it was likely misplaced.
I will not waste anyone's time in the future. Lesson learned.
