Games of Some Olympiad

Whatabout skimo?

Will olympic skimo even get off the ground by then to the top of a bump?

Huh... I had just assumed that skimo would be held at Whiteface.

When one assumes.....

I have to apologize. Whether it's LP, Albany, or NYC, at least two new venues would need to be built. Long track and short track speed skating is now held on indoor tracks.
But does it have to be? Couldn't the outdoor oval be homologated without a roof, or add a temporary roof?

Hilarious watching some NYS Assemblyman from Brooklyn beating the 'we need the winter Olympics in NYS' drum. NYS continues to have zero oversight over ORDA as we watch ORDA build a completely new $30million ski area day lodge without septic. How would NYS ever deal with an Olympic build out?

By the way, there is no money for the Olympics. NYS needs to save its money for the domes that the Yankees and the Mets will need on their next stadiums in a few years. Those 2 stadiums are already 17 years old!

Owners of the Mets and the Yankees should pay for their own dang stadiums.

Insofar as Olympic buildout: I'm curious what, if any, improvements would be required at Whiteface. That and the above mentioned skating rinks. @x10003q next time I'm in LP, I'll drive by the outdoor rink. I don't think it's as simple as adding a roof. It's kinda tight quarters between the high school and the Olympic Center.

I'm pretty sure a few world cup events are held out doors.
