For the Love of the T-Bar

Any required exercise tends to reduce the traffic an area receives.

More Gore!

Oldest still standing lift in Canada, possibly North America: the t-bar at Limberlost, now a great earned-turns line:

Don’t folks sit around too much nowadays? Ya get to ski up on a T-bar.
Just gotta stay somewhat in the tracks though. Sometimes there’s even little moguls too after awhile. YMMV.

A fear of exercise is a damn good way to remain in that terminal intermediate zone.
Not sure if this is what you are saying, but I do think the more you ski untracked snow the better you get. And bumps.

Maybe if I ever had a lesson, it would be a different story.

Practicing balancing helps too.
Nothing wrong with doing things ya like to do a lot. regarding good repetition exercise wise.
I like to just go skiing. Most days ain’t ever the same.

I never had a lesson. self taught with lots of days under my belt
Got me thinking, how many people have never taken a lesson? What percentage of people ?

I haven’t taken one either but always skied with a friend who was better than me so it was an internal goal to be as good as him . He moved away in my late teens and I had to find another goal as I matched my friends abilities. Another friend close by had gone to a freestyle camp at a young age and was an awesome bump skier ,he became my next goal.
40 plus years later we still ski together… I’ll never match his skills but it gives me a goal anyway.

My other old ski buddies only ski a handful of days. I’ve learned some stuff from constructive criticism by some younger skiers as well .My main point is if you set some goals skiing will never be boring.
Sorry for the thread drift.

Help me with the structure for a poll and I will set one up.
