Thanks. I’m very safe, that’s why I called it right when I realized I wasn’t on my game. I don’t hit people but I’ve had a few close calls. I don’t ski much when it’s busy, like today and tomorrow. I’ll try again on Monday.

That being said, I’ve been skiing hard when I do get out there, i may be skiing the strongest I ever have in skied off, bumped out shit snow. I want to put together an edit of it. I’d like to capture that you don’t have to have epic powder to have epic days.

I can’t escape this ominous feeling though that a catastrophic crash is on my horizon. The kind of skiing at these speeds I’ve been into as of late would be extremely unforgiving if I go down. A major tree strike seems very likely.

Oh, I gotta add, those Bent Chettler 100’s are insane! Probably the most fun ski I’ve had in many, many years.

Day 14.

Damn good skiing still. We’ve had mini little refreshers the last few weeks with another 2-4 coming in tonight. It’s mostly packed powder with some patches of western ice here and there on the groomers. Lots of moguls up there and the tree skiing has been awesome.

I think we’ve had around 80, maybe 90 inches of snow this season. It’s feeling awfully drought-y out here. I have to admit, I’ve been really enjoying the sunshine and mild winter. I’m back in the Sonoran desert on Wednesday for work and I’m looking forward to it.

I haven’t been skiing with my phone but I’ll make a point to take some pics next time I’m up on the mountain.

It’s really cold out here right now. I’m glad I’m down in the Sonoran Desert working this week.

Taos was the best place to ski in
the country today from the looks of things on social media but this is ok too.

It’s dumping! Unfortunately I’m dealing with post covid bronchitis. Ugh. I’m hunkering down to hopefully beat this junk before it turns into pneumonia and kills my worn out 46 year old ass. February has been a complete wash, between work, covid and now this I haven’t skied a single day. The funny thing is I don’t care. I don’t have to ski anymore, or not currently feeling that at least.

Thanks Jason. I’ve got antibiotics, mucinex and some Flonase. I was told that should do the trick.

There’s around two feet in town right now. I bet the ski area gets close to three.
