Historic winter shaping up for the west

I was gonna mention that too
But everyone gets all bent
It is so important that the west gets a record snow pack. We get so much of our food from them. Their water crisis isn’t talked about enough

I don’t know that kind of snow but have cousins and an aunt in Phoenix.
Never been to Arizona but used to give my Mom and sister plane tickets for Christmas to go visit them during March madness.
Did ski A Basin 1 day in early June years ago and got wore out.

I was curious about where the water would be coming from given the drought . I did a quick Google earth search but didn't see any ponds ?

Arizona Snowbowl will become the first ski resort in the world to use 100 percent sewage effluent to make artificial snow. Members of the Navajo tribe say the snow will ruin sacred ground.

There’s a pond just above the sunset chair. The ski area gets x amount of reclaimed waste water every year for snowmaking. It’s quite a bit. They do an incredible job with their allotment.
