Coleman is forcing the buy the season pass hand with these prices. It's better overall for pass holders right? Less Gumby's and more parking for pass holders is one thought but lets be honest, it's also a cash grab but heck, if they're going to pay it then you'd be a foolish business person to not charge it. And dude, it's going to full capacity every time. There's getting to be very little locals days midweek even, especially when there's the snow. You gotta look at the target market too, it's wealthy folks from Scottsdale and college kids that have lots of family money. The place goes off and it's incredibly successful right now.

The idea seems to be to use dynamic pricing to encourage people to plan ahead if they are going to buy a day ticket online. Here's what the prices look like for the next 6 weeks as of Jan. 21. Wanna go tomorrow? $269. Wanna go next Sunday? $149. Ready to commit to a Sunday in February? Even less, including for Pres. Day weekend.

Do they even sell out of day tickets? Some ticketing software will say "10 tickets left" and so on as a cap level is approaching. Airline ticketing systems do that too.
