That loft we added, right outside the master br, is now my office, so that is where I do my writing.

In winter (after the leaves are off) on a clear day, I can see Gore through that window.

Snowplow just went down the road for the first time since last spring.
Been snowing small flakes steady for over a day,

Hopefully mud season is over.
For some reasons I love snow. Hounds are happy.

A lift is running in the NC mountains today! Sugar Mountain opened their usual top-to-bottom trail after barely 40 hours of intense snowmaking. Cataloochee opens on Nov. 12. Those two are the usual suspects vying for "first to open" honors in NC every season. Both started blowing snow in the 1960s.

Got down to 31º at the RDU airport about 5am this morning, Nov. 11. But the cold isn't going to last. Forecast high for tomorrow is in the low 60s and back into the 70s by early next week.
