im happy i didn't give them 50-100$ for that gobblegook
As someone who is visually oriented, but not a weather geek, I ignore the lines that are the source data. Can click on any line for details from that specific forecast. All I'm looking at is whether or not the OpenSnow Snowmaking forecast is in a color band for night time snowmaking or potential daytime snowmaking. Having the bars below the line graphs for potential precipitation is handy.

That said, I'm not going to shell out for Premium after playing with the free preview for extra forecast stuff for a few weeks. What's provided by a Base subscription is useful to me, without being too much info. My weather interests and curiosity cover multiple regions. For just my home mountain, I don't need OpenSnow. For the southeast, SkiSoutheast is better than OpenSnow.

EDIT: For Days 11-15, OpenSnow added "the European AI (AIFS Ensemble), American AI (GFS Graphcast), and American Ensemble (GEFS)." Those words are meaningless to me. :)

Ober invested in snowmaking boxes starting a few years ago. There was a change in ownership in 2022. The family who sold to another local had owned/operated the place since 1975. Before that, it was getting harder and harder for Ober to get open for the end of year holiday period.

From Ober's Instagram post a week ago:
"Big news from the mountain: Ober just added two powerhouse snowmakers – an @smisnowmakers Latitude and a @snowmagicinc snow maker – bringing our total to 14 all-weather snowmaking machines (yep, that’s a LOT)! These machines can make snow in almost any temperature, meaning more consistent coverage, longer seasons, and way more winter fun here at Ober Mountain."

SkiSoutheast posted a pic on Oct. 31:

Another high wind warning for us tomorrow. I don't remember a year having more of those than this year.
