Yesterday, I reported on the Climb to the Castle roller ski race for Nordic Insights. Outta my house at 6:40. Mist covering Lake Flower. Crawled through Lake Placid village in crippling fog. 29 degrees. It was 15 degrees warmer at the dang toll gate than alongside the west bank of the Ausable.

That v-shaped notch on the right marks the last 500 or so meters to the castle. On the wrong day, wind howls through that at 50 mph or more. Ask me how I know.

We've had a light, but sweet steady rain in North River for the last 12 hours. I didn't really see it indicated on radar either.

Looks like high pressure bouncin around til Oct 7th or so for The CNY.

We’ve been having heavy morning dews everyday lately so that should help.

Don’t know how long that’ll last.

Do folks even predict morning dews?
