we had quite a storm yesterday in Eastern PA, fortunately my damage was limited to a crabapple branch. Never knew they had fluorescent pink bark lining?! (pic does not capture it at all)

The deer around my house eat some of the day lillies and ignore other varieties. If I spray regularly with a homemade yucky mix, they are more likely to leave the flowers and buds alone. Got the recipe (egg, milk, dish soap) a decade ago from a friend on a different ski forum who lives near Montreal.
