It looks like Plattekill is going to get thumped by this one. I’d be skiing there for sure if I lived out east.
I know a few folks from NY like this. I'm encouraging them to go to VT; fewer skiers in NY.A guy we do business with was talking about driving up to Stratton [from NJ] if the storm really delivers. He'd stay in an AirBnB. Under this scenario, no way he would meet VT's quarantine requirements. Personally, I don't want to go down that road.
30 inches of snow at Wild Wings in Peru VT and still coming down. They usually don't get as much as Prospect. Scared to see how much h Prospect has.I know a few folks from NY like this. I'm encouraging them to go to VT; fewer skiers in NY.
News on the radio announced 41" reported in Binghampton, NY. I-84 looks mostly closed from Middletown, NY, to Scranton, Pa.
Bimmington, seen it called that too. My street still isn't plowed, maybe another skiless day off tomorrow. I tried to escape today, but my lack of ground clearance did me in. A taller all wheel drive vehicle had made a path down the hill, but still too much snow for mine. Made it about 20ft down the hill. Relieved to return it to the driveway.
But, essentially, a season pass is now a multi resort pass for many mountains. Humter=Epic, Sugarbush=Ikon. But, you still have to reserve. That's the rub.I bet there’s a spike in season pass sales after this storm, and the reality of sold out weekends setting in....at least for mountains that are still selling season passes.
