Chair falls at Camelback

My main point was about the "unlucky chair" situation. The problem was with the whole lift, but the injuries were only from one chair that was most affected. At Granby Ranch, the chair hit the tower, but stayed on the line. At Camelback, there are people in the lift blog comments section who were on the lift ahead or behind the chair that fell, and reported that the lift was unusually bouncy and the chairs were swinging a lot. No one has confirmed whether the chair that fell hit the tower, but it is a plausible scenario.

How is it the same outcome if the chair itself didn't fall in that other incident? The only thing that is the same is that people were injured.

Edit: I've read some more details and comments and there are reports of swinging /bouncing chairs in this incident as well. But still bo fallinf xhair in thst one.
There is a link to this in the comments, https://www.poconorecord.com/article/20081206/NEWS/812060337
says a chair fell in 2008, but it’s just an article linked to the internet.

I always assumed that most lift incidents like this are really old chairs and not a comparatively new high-speed quad. That said; this lift is 26 years old.

Just another reason to like simple, old, work-horse Hall lifts like at Platty.
You have to admire marcski's ability to stay on-message -- no matter what the topic is, all roads lead to Plattekill.

It’s been bluebird and sunny. I don’t understand how the chairs are bouncing around without wind unless someone was f’n around and bouncing them on purpose.

Nightmare fuel. I usually never read the bottom half of the internet but the comments in the OPs linked article are really illuminating, including multiple accounts from witnesses.

3 minute up time seems fast to me, but been going up Song and the chairs are wired into the cable. Makes em harder to come off.
The bunny hill at Song takes 3 minutes and with the wet snow now make's it easier with the extra vertical to get to the triple coming in from the east.
