Building a House with Wood

Looks like you’re coming down the home stretch!

It’s way more fun when you’re living in the space you’re building / renovating!🤪

I see you went with the Runtals for baseboard radiant. Did you do the rest of the house?

The first and second floor are runtals. Basement has in floor radiant. All three floors heat pump/ac.

There is also a propane fireplace in the great room.

Great setup 🍻
I've got to give credit to this forum I never would have known about runtals if it wasn't for @sig posting in this thread.

You never totally know what you're buying but when these things arrived they look strong and well painted.

It was a real challenge to have baseboards behind the runtals and a carpenter came up with a solution, it's just beautiful simple and elegant. Some pro saw work ripping a 5/8 thickness in half. I'm guessing that's easier said than done.

Also got to give credit to @gorgonzola over in the garage thread. He convinced me to move the garage doors closer to each other and leave more space on the sides and it was totally The Right Move

I can’t take credit for that suggestion.
Just be sure to keep the doors closed other than going in and out. Pesky mice are sneaky.
