I saw an article that claimed the covenant was actually “can’t operate lifts for twenty years” which is either passed or almost passed. I’d be all for Brodie reopening since Jiminy isn’t half as cool as it used to be. Somebody could really make a go of it there if they were careful with their money and kept it simple.
 
The fun days of skiing on green snow are sadly over. Lost so much character in the sport over the years.
 
Brodie was THE place to ski in the Berkshires back in the day, the atmosphere was unmatched. When Brian bought it he gave a decent offer to the community, but when that failed Brodie was lost forever.
 
After reading about Brodie in the Lost Ski Areas of the Berkshires, I managed to figure out where it could be seen from Mt. Greylock State Park.
