Stoke from simpler times: a couple of vintage ski jumping vids from Bear Mountain. I don't mind admitting, I got a little choked up watching this one.

In the video below, two-time Olympian Art Tokle, who lived in Rockaway NJ, takes the win. So different back then: they shuffled downhill to get going; nowadays, gravity does the work. In general, athletes not out over their skis as much as today.

Finally got around to doing my project with the chairlift I picked up a couple years back from Greek Peak. I made a base for it, took it apart and repainted everything, then replaced the old wood slats with new teak ones.

The wood is so sick. It reminds me of the first chair I ever rode at Craigmuer NJ.
