Belleayre Conditions

Does anyone know what lifts usually open first midweek? I'm off bus stop duty tomorrow, so am able to get there as early as 830 and want to park strategically. Thanks in advance!

Probably the Gondola. Given what has been going on i have completely avoided discovery lodge. I don't know if that is the best call or not but it is safeish. Went to overlook lodge.

You can park at mid (overlook lodge), and then just ski down to the gondola. If you want to be as close as possible to lifts but don't care about amenities, park either by Hawk (former tomahawk) which has a bathroom and food truck, and you are 30 feet from deer run, or the lot just to the left of overlook that takes you right below overlook lodge, you can boot up from your car and then ski down to the gondola.

Yeah, I'm pretty much always a Lot H guy, so I can start the day downhill...no need to go inside. I really just don't want to get stuck waiting by Overlook or B-Express if Hawk or the gondola are running early. Heard a rumor that they often have things spinning before the official 9AM opening...

Not sure what lift opens first but the gondola was on wind hold today according to the snow report. I’m not sure if it ever opened. Looks like the winds will diminish overnight. Hopefully it will be good to go tomorrow. They have already posted it as being open.

Did anyone here go to Belle between Christmas and New Year's and attempt to buy food/use the bathrooms? Have been planning to go there for 1-2 days over MLK weekend (not Saturday) with my kids and another family and have been a little worried how that's gonna go given the lodge situation. But I actually don't think I saw any horror stories online over the holiday week.

i'm a bit touched in the head 🤪 ..I need to be early no matter where i go..That said i like to arrive at overlook around 8ish..Usually end up parking in the pay parking cause the attended isn't on duty yet..get dressed like a civilized person in a empty warm lodge..

Open to 1 today. That has been the usual weekend warrior hours this season. Parked at lot E for the easy bathroom access and started on the Hawk. It was fairly firm and windy on the north side so we made our way across the ridge slowly. A dusting of natural snow was nice for the first couple of runs but wind was pushing things around. Onondaga stacked up a lot of really nice man made snow without the guns in your face so we stuck to that for awhile. Crowds were heavy the two times we went all the way down to the gondola but manageable on the hill.
