I’m sure it will eventually get done but this year it will remain a mess. So… food trucks? 🤷‍♂️

I tried finding out the total construction cost so far and google directed me to the NYSkiBlog ORDA funding thread. So I’m assuming no one knows.

That would be a tall order, but will come out at some point. The 2nd low bidder is usually (and has been on this one) contacted first to price what's left to complete. See, there's bid bonds and then there's payment & performance bonds. It's a hot mess for sure.

I just don't see how the mountain is going to operate without a working lower lodge, food, rentals, seating area.... is this all going to be handled out of trucks? seems like it will be one massive s--t show this winter.
 
Let's hope the asbestos remediation that was happening at Overlook this off-season didn't get f'ed up in similar ways to what is going down at Discovery.

Tain’t on agenda, but the topic might come up in the "President's Report" and/or a response from a board member.

At least there might be mo’ $ for kitchen&refrigerator around Lake Placid...
 
Ugh, I've bid, done and CM'd a lot of bonded projects from both side of the table over the years but have been fortunate enough to never have to been in a pickle like that... Holee Sheet. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

I guess I'll be sticking to my early and late season charcuterie and beer in the Overlook/7 parking lot trips!
Although we did download last week for MrsS' potty break
