Basketball & March Madness

Ah well, I miss the ACC when the Big Four in NC were the heart of the conference: Carolina, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest. Stopped paying much attention after the league got over 12 teams. I'm a Tar Heel and my husband adopted Duke after moving to NC because he was an adjunct professor there. We watched Carolina-Duke TV games in separate rooms. ;)

I'm thinking Duke is the team to be at this year. It pains me to say this, but they're for real this year.

14 outta 16 teams in The SEC made into The Big Dance.

Ole Miss plays the winner of the play-in game tonight, either San Diego State or North Carolina. Hope the Tar Heels win that one cause it’ll Just Mean More if The Rebs beat ‘em on Friday.

Guess I'll be paying attention to a Carolina basketball game after I get home on Thursday. First real game in the NCAA tournament will be Friday evening afternoon after they blew out San Diego tonight. :)

Carolina put up a great comeback to make it exciting down the stretch.
They also played better as the season went on.
Hope ya made it home safely.

Non-stop flight went fine yesterday. Didn't matter that it was delayed for 30 minutes because of an issue with another flight using the gate next door. Thanks for asking.

Couldn't find a way to watch the Carolina game, but learned how to listen to all the NCAA games for free. Glad the TarHeels woke up in the second half.

Needless to say, my husband is happier with the Duke outcome. Unlike a few of my former co-workers who were die hard Carolina fans, I'm capable of rooting for Duke in the NCAA tournament as long as they aren't playing Carolina.

There are still some tickets left for the Sunday games in Raleigh for under $200 up high. A few tickets in lower sections are going for over $1200. We'll watch on TV at home.
