Arizona Snow Bowl 5/18/25

It was still winter on Sunday, mid 40’s at the base but 25° at the summit. An unexpected 1” of mashed on top made things interesting. I never imagined I’d be skiing out here in May . I didn’t hook up with @raisingarizona this time but still had a great time.
They’re planning on making it to June!

Woot woot! I’m sitting at the Rendevous bar in town right now about to sip on their top shelf scotch! No skiing or biking for me while in AZ this run.

Have you or any of your friends skied any of the cinder cones around Flagstaff? I noticed some no hiking signage at Sunset crater but all I could think of when I looked at the incline was damn I could ski that lol.

Had a great time out there last week and fortunately missed the East Coast monsoon. Thanks for the hike suggestions . Walnut canyon was incredible.

I haven’t but I have plenty of friends that have. I was always focused on the Inner Basin when we had snow but the cinder cones around Flagstaff are good skiing when we’d have big snow years at 7k.

Probably staying put in Pa. for grandkid’s .
I bought a Sprinter van for work but planning on a conversion in a few years if it works out. Driving cross country a few months out of the year.
