@tirolski GREAT share. It's interesting to note that in 2014, USSA dropped nordic combined, even though the US cleaned up in this discipline for years leading up to the 2010 Winter OWG. I've spoken with knowledgable people who put the cost of training for nordic combined juniors at ~$25,000 / yr. Heard stories about parents taking second mortgages on their houses so the kids can keep training and racing.
By the looks of it, US Ski and Snowboard don't seem interested in doing the work it takes to develop athletes.
