ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

Good stuff. Also needs to be race specific (e.g. cross country is a shorter distance, therefore more high speed short distance work and relatively less volume). I am definitely a novice, so take my stuff with a grain of salt and maybe I should stop pontificating.

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

I know there are people on the forum who know more about running than me. But anywho: running slow in that zone two area does two things that other zones do not do as much that let you get faster: 1) over months, it makes you have more mitochondria in the same area of muslce mass, so you put...

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

The other cool thing - I am averaging about 30 mpw this half block, peaking at 34, but with many weeks above 30. My injury risk actually declines in this block and in future blocks as I approach 38 mpw. Then, over that mpw, my risk will go up (fairly slightly). We are talking about 10-12...

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

PS - I am finally understanding zone 2 training. I pulled a chart of 4 different 4 mile runs at 143 bpm avg hr from December 24, March, October, and a few days ago. Y axis is pace (declining pace going up) and X is date. It looks like a 1:1 chart pretty much with the arrow climbing 45 degrees...

And it will actually charge relatively fast - 100k, 150, can't remember. Really no flaw for that car for a family size 3 or under.

I set to 66 and forget it on taconic, except the loop of doom where I just go 50-55 and everyone goes crazy around me and then almost hit the median guard rail.

    NY Prop 1 2025

My polling station was nearly empty. They said people don't come out too much for 'off' years.

    NY Prop 1 2025

I would just say one of the few absolute rights we have in life as a citizen is the right to vote (and that you can lose in certain limited circumstances - don't remember the rules in NY). General note that it would be cool if we did not get on each other for how we voted. My bad for...

    NY Prop 1 2025

I don't know a ton about it, but the issue I have with the forever wild language is not the constitution - i think that is cool - it is the interpretation of what that means. I am probably a 5% expert on forestry - ie a complete novice - but I hike enough to know that keeping no management...

    NY Prop 1 2025

How do you look up the county by county results? Interesting to look at. (Thanks!)

    NY Prop 1 2025

This is something they should put into a prop to amend for. I have not met a single person against it. Maybe not done because no special interests with money pushing for it haha

    NY Prop 1 2025

Interesting. As someone uneducated on this I voted yes. I would point out that the forever wild language in the constitution is a double edged sword. You are likely aware, but it does not allow for any healthy forest management (at least some of us must know more about this than me): there...

    Ski Bowl 3.0 at Gore

PS for those of use exercising the right to vote, there was a ballot initiative about adding 1,000 plus acres to preserve (amending the state constitution no less) to add to skiing. I presume it is Gore (said Essex county). I voted yes haha.

You have no idea. I have advanced degrees but am humanities based. Got up to calc 2 in high school and AP Chemistry. I am a planner. The day I broke my shoulder skiing at Belle with Jason (thanks again for the advil, J) I was setting out on a ski safari from LI to Belle to Gore to WF and...

And shorter distance - Montreal to Li about 6-7 of driving was able to with one stop each way (again meal times) in Queensbury Ny about halfway. I have a home charger so left at 100 percent and then hotel had slow charger that filled her up while I snores.

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

I did LI to Huntsville 948 miles each way. I will try to find my spreadsheet but I think we drove 10 hours a day. Two stops a day to charge. We would time for lunch and dinner. Like 45-55 minutes. A Tesla would be faster probably due to smaller battery. My main point to anyone who has...
