Elliot Monter saw the potential in North Creek in the 1980s. He eventually saw the writing on the walls of NC in the 1990s and bailed.
FrontStreet has had approvals for developing 100s of units of lodging next to the Ski Bowl since 2008 and they have built about 6 units.
The pizza place in NC...
When I would complain my Dad would say "What are you complaining about? My parents could'nt even afford a wheelbarrow for me. You got it easy with a wheelbarrow!":ROFLMAO:
That familiar pile looks like a Party that I would rather not attend.;)
My parents had a steep gravel driveway that needed to be replenished periodically (it seemed like too often to me) with airport mix that looked about the size of your pile. I was the wheelbarrow, shovel, and rake guy. So...
You will not even notice it, especially since it seems Sugarbush is only running the program on the Super Bravo. I think it is available on all the Stratton lifts and it basically is invisible.
It seems the only line cutting at Sugarbush is on the Super Bravo for $2000. Not exactly a worthy spend. I doubt many people drop the $2k. The private room is interesting, but most people ski with family and friends. Would every member of your group need the $2k ticket? That is not clear.
First Tracks is is an add on to an Ikon Pass season pass. For example, at Stratton, the First Tracks allows you to start skiing at 745am on weekends and holidays vs the normal 830am start time. It costs $599 on top of the Ikon/season pass.
The 'cut the line pass' is a new offer from various...
Here is how I read that Snowbrains article about the UCI World Cup MTN bike race:
ORDA had verbal contact with DEC and they both came to the conclusion that there was no way to approve this formally in the time frame as it existed. ORDA said we will follow the rules as best we can and will take...
The Electric Micro Bus/ID Buzz was first seen in North America in 2017. It did not go into production for North America until 2024. I remember liking it and thinking that it might sell as long as they price it right. Because VW took so long to get the ID Buzz to market they lost all the...
My front yard looks like a California hillside in September - tan. We are under voluntary water conservation due to the NJ Drought Watch. I can look out the window and see who has built in sprinklers and who does not.
We left the snows on the ski vehicle for the last 2 years. We drive it so little in the off season that it is just not worth it to swap the tires out. The other set is just rotting away in the garage.
We had Bridgestone Blizzaks for 4 years. They were great in the snow but loud and wobbly at...
The Protect group is very good at omitting important details about the DEC land classifications while shouting about Article 14 and "forever wild". According to the NYS DEC, Whiteface Ski area is classified as:
"
F. Intensive Use
[APSLMP] An intensive use area is an area where the state...
You can see Campgaw Ski area on the ridge in the background of the 'skyline first' photo looking south at the 287/thruway intersection with the person standing on the rock.:)
I am not questioning the value of the Indy pass, just their method of starting, stopping and restarting pass sales. They know what they are selling, why all the mumbo jumbo? If they really follow limits, why not sell it out and be done with it?
