    Greek Peak Conditions

Not at Smuggs but Gore several times, Whiteface, first time this year over Christmas so it wasn't killer cold. It's been pretty cold at Gore when I was there before but I guess I remember Greek Peak more because one time we were there and I was a kid it was 20 below with wind chill, temp must...

    Elk Conditions

We run a side business I don't want to doxx myself with specifics but we do cash or check. Credit card would require an internet connection and skims several percent off of the price in addition to other fees and security issues. We have discussed trying to accept them with the bank several...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Burnt Ridge quad hasn't opened yet, and that could allow somewhat of in increase in the cap due to that being a pretty big addition to out-of-base capacity? Hudson chair... exists I guess. Did that open at all last year?

    F Vail

Ancient lifts are not inherently unsafe if maintained and accidents happen on both old and new lifts. Lots of lifts around far older than the one in question at Wildcat

    Whiteface Conditions

Everything is a shit-show right now not just the ski industry ORDA doing far better in terms of operations than Vail and even KSL/Alterra at any rate so, while complaints may be warranted, they could be doing far far worse. They seem to have more terrain open, more reasonable prices, less...

    Magic Conditions

Quad allegedly needs either a sheave assembly modified or entire crosspiece on tower 13? Requiring use of the crane which would have to be driven up there, which they have been keeping a snow-free path for, but which may soon get covered in snow. AZ intel unsure of whether sheave parts have...

    Whiteface Conditions

Much less crowded than yesterday despite being "sold out" rather than "limited." Passholders must have come for the snow yesterday. Much better surface today & Little whiteface chair is open! Good resurface on summit trails

    Whiteface Conditions

Paron's Run got scraped and blown off, by noon it was solid ice most of the way down, ski patrol closed it at like 1. Thruway was best run of the day even at close not super icy Excelsior was great all day, much better than valley run, if they are worried about too much traffic on it idk why...

    Whiteface Conditions

Significantly more crowded and icy than yesterday. No chairs running on little whiteface (except gondy). They are trying to make quads for each cabin. 1/2" of wet snow this morning.

    Whiteface Conditions

For being "sold out" lift lines were very reasonable. Snow quality was good but in spots got scraped off quite a bit. Thin coverage on many trails, lots of rocks coming through.

Poll: The Impact of the Epic Pass

Laurel Mountain which they just took over the operational lease for is also a PA state park Vail took over a lot of the "big name" places and a lot of people don't realize that there are less crowded alternatives which have just as good terrain - "I'm not going skiing this weekend, it'll be too...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

I think you can still leave bags on the bottom level of the base lodge and boot up there if you want. Lots of shelves of bags there The summit lodge at the top where the old gondola terminated is usually pretty empty and we like to pack lunch and eat there. There are vending machines there...
