Had a snow tire emergency over the last couple of days. One of my Gislaved Nordfrosts blew up for unknown reasons (deemed "not repairable" by big box convenient shop). Could have have had something to do with driving in a snowstorm with a flat tire and not realizing the the tire was flat. Anyhoo, fortunately a rear tire on a front wheel drive car, got the the donut installed thanks to CAA (aka AAA) and started calling around and looking online. The Gislaved is now rare and expensive, so happy to go with something similar. First shop had an X-Ice on sale for $209 CAD. F that. Scored a clearout late model Blizzack for $73 at Kal Tire, a big chain here in the Hinterlands. Great service! Back up and running.
