The triple is a CTEC that originally operated as the Valley Triple at Whiteface from 1988-2002. It followed the exact same route that Facelift does now. However, it was effectively a conversion of a double to a triple, so it was a frankenlift right from the start. The section up to the former midstation lodge was a tandem lift, and above that, it reused towers from a Riblet double dating back to the original construction of the ski area. When it was moved to Gore in 2002, all of the original towers were scrapped, so it was installed with new towerheads from CTEC on used Hall and Riblet tower tubes from the North Double and Straightbrook Double. You can tell the difference by the base plate on the footing. If it's a square base plate, then it's a Hall tower, and if it's a round base plate, then it's a Riblet tower.
The triple was supposed to go to Mount Van Hoevenburg as a transport lift for spectators if the sliding events for the 2026 Olympics were held in Lake Placid. However, it appears that is unlikely to happen, as the track in Italy is complete and being tested. While the intent was to keep the lift after the event as a skyride / sightseeing lift, similar to the pulse gondola at the jumping complex, I am unsure whether that project will go forward. It has been removed from Lift Blog's 2025 New Lifts list.
The new lift at Gore will be a Skytrac fixed grip quad, with a loading carpet.
