Very cool. Is Boyne still seeing a lot of skiers? Curious about the economics of making snow in April.

I wouldn’t say a lot, but a decent amount. They are offing a $25 lift ticket to anyone who has a season pass that works in Michigan, and they also have said they want to become Killington of the Midwest

Free PR for being the first to open or last to close is hard to quantify in any flatland region with ski hills based on 100% snowmaking. Making season pass holders happy has value. Might even be pass holders who bring a friend along during late season.
What can make a big difference is whether or not the snowmaking team are seasonal or locals with full-time jobs year round. Boyne Mountain started out as a 4-season resort.

Boyne Mtn is a big resort and from what i understand is most of the employees are full time. They are also going to host a Mt Bohemia season pass party.
