Maybe. A Facebook memory from 2017 looked a little deeper. Towns just to the south us have way more snow.

After a bit of thaw there was a snow event, perfect timing for the WWHSTA group's celebration of World Telemark Day and BC Ski Festival (just to include the other methods).
The chair, as always, sets the mood:
We gathered as usual at the Limberlost Forest, with all forms of glisse represented: tele, AT, snowboard and skinbased.
I got to ski with some fine-looking friends!
Meanwhile, the hardcore contemplated the down:
