Where are you skiing this week?

Nothing again, Sugarbush a fantastic Mountain, but this is the best he can do also going to the most liberal state in the country. You think he would’ve gone to Utah, Montana, Wyoming.
He & his wife are both dang Yalees.
It’s not far from New Haven to Vt.

I’ve also seen a lot of picks of Bernie riding the single chair at MRG.

Glad I bought cancelable hotel reservations! Our Sugarbush visit for this weekend is in the shit can. I'm not going to be be around a traffic jammed, security cluster F! Seriously how the F is that gonna work? Close lift lines and runs for them?

He shoulda stayed in Ohio. Plenty of bumps there.

I bet that guy skis with his jeans tucked in the boots.

Alta/Bird picked up about 2’ of snow earlier this week from a storm that over delivered on NW winds. They have 10” in the last 24 hours, with as much as 2’ of additional snowfall expected through tomorrow. Seeing a stormy week ahead last Friday I actually snagged a flight to SLC with miles. So, I’m going to Utah! Probably 3 days between Alta/Bird, maybe I’ll drive up to Powder Mountain on Monday.

Looks toasty there this weekend

Looks toasty there this weekend
Warm by early March standards on Sunday and Monday, I suppose. Mid to upper 30s at 8,000 feet (bases), 30 degrees give or take at 11,000 (summits). I’ve skied warmer spring days after a storm, hoping it’ll be a’ight throughout, at least up high. Not gonna look a gift miles ticket after 4+ feet in a week in the mouth over a few degrees! Saturday, however, looks to start cold and probably not get above freezing.

Plan will be Snowbird for Saturday. Mineral Basin has been closed for lift maintenance issues, they had been talking about it coming back on line Thursday or Friday. Didn’t open today. Hopefully lift maintenance and avy control keep that terrain closed tomorrow as well. Saturday could be a very good day.

Temps Sunday look to be a little colder up Powder Mountain way. Perhaps head up there and play around high in their hike/skin to terrain.

Will see what Monday and Tuesday bring, but a couple of spring-ish days around Alta/Bird will suit me fine by then.

Looks to me like you may have hit the jackpot! Have fun!

Open Snow only showing mid/upper 30s which is quite divergent from the NWS temps for SLC.
