It was still great when I got there after 1pm. And the forecast for the next 10 days looks pretty sweet too

Big Mac is back. Plenty of snow for the debut of the “new” lift. Parking lot filled like I’ve never seen.

Got to Big Mac early yesterday to a steady snow coming down. McCauley skied great until around lunch time when the weather turned into freezing rain/sleet. I turned into a popsicle and the mountain picked up a light glaze. Figured I'd take a break for lunch with the hope that snow would return. I ventured out after 1pm but the freezing rain/sleet kept coming down and I called it day. Of course, as soon as I packed up to head into Old Forge, the snow returned!

Snow fell overnight and the temps dropped to single digits so we'll see what today brings.

Big Mac hasn't been hit by the big LE storms that hit Woods and Snowridge but there's still a real good base. Add a few inches of fresh snow from Saturday night into Sunday, and the whole mountain skied great yesterday.

A few inches of fresh snow the past few days made for a fun weekend of skiing. Everything was in play. More snow last night so we'll see how this morning goes. Think it should be really good.

If you're in the area and can get there today, you just might wanna do it. I see the weather changing and today just might be the last day of winter skiing vs spring conditions into the weekend and beyond.

Ya can buy a chair from the old Hall lift if ya wanna.
"The Hall Chairs will be availeble for sale on Sunday May 24, 10am-4 pm. Chairs are $800 a piece cash or check only. Purchases must be made in person and chairs will not be held for pick up. Chairs will need to go the day of the sale, no exceptions, all sales final, first come first serve."

Only time I rode the old lift was on a beautiful peak color day in the fall when a friend got married up top. The northern lights that night were incredible.
