Gore Mountain Conditions

Lift 10 is the Topridge triple. It makes sense to replace it because it's the oldest lift at Gore (it was originally installed at Whiteface) and breakdowns there are among the most disruptive ones.
OTOH last winter Howie told me that the Straightbrook chair was gonna be the next one replaced, but there must have been a change of plans.. He also said they were gonna stick with fixed grips everywhere except for the lifts from the base because of the complexity of maintaining detachables.

Yes, I was talking to a lift maintenace employee at the Ski Bowl the other day, and he also had said that lift 7 was the next on the list, which I believe is set for next year. Lifts need to be ordered more than a year ahead of time, so I would guess that lift 10 replacement would be in 2026.

Lift 10 will be replaced next year.

Be interesting to see the impact.
