Going Under the Knife

Lost 19 lbs on the Magic Pill all edema gone .back to my fighting weight of 192

Played golf twice this past week . My game is in the crapper 43 and a 42. My 2 and 5 hybrids were terrible.

Courses were soaked from Debby ,yooge rain this am gonna need a kayak to play this week

Heading back Wed to UVM for 2 chemo rounds and a chest implanted port on Thurs, Fri, mabe another plasma phoresus. I feel great my primary Dr here thinks it going fine some numbers up some down but OK progress so far

Been going to Malone every Monday and here on Thursdays for Blood work .Malone being part of UVM network can do specialized tests and they are immediately in uvm data base.

Will have to repeat process in September and perhaps Oct but when the Uvm team of specialist give Ogdensburg hospital the green light I can do it here all except plasma phoresus which if necessary is only done at Uvm ,Upstate, Roch cha cha And Buffalo.

Low 40s is decent golf.

It's crazy, but I don't hurt, yet, other than my throat from the anesthesiaI have not yet taken anything. The lidocaine has probably worn off, according to my surgeon. I only used the crutches in the hospital because the nurse made me use them when I had to go to the bathroom. I am a huge fan of the cold therapy machine. I see us being bffs for a week.View attachment 25502

Glad to hear that you're well enough to get out and play. Those scores put mine to shame. My only excuse is I suck I've got an appointment with my swing doctor next weekend.

Down 25 lbs to 186 magic pill working .Had a setback last Thurs at uvm couldn't do chemo one of critcal benchmarks tanked out .So had my 5th and 6 th rounds of total plasma exchange

Back to Uvm this Wed thru Fri hopefully chemo sessions but labwork tomorrow in Malone will tell if it's a greengh lite . If not ugh more plasma phoresis

Still feel pretty good but have 2 painful temporary external ports in my neck for plasma exchange so I will not swing a club it hurts too much and have to keep these ports dry.

Did some trail walking .today with the Queen felt good to move been lying in a bed for up to 5 hrs each time while these exchanges occur.

People at Hope Lodge in Burlington where we stay have been super.its run by ACA and provides a suite and 3 meals daily kinda like a Ronald McDonald house except for cancer victims and families, it is a 3 minute walk to the Medical Center or they will shuttle u if ur unable to walk

Got the word tonite from UVM guess the labs taken early am today in Malone were good enough for chemo to start Thursday.

Hopefully I don't get a bad reaction but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
.Malone hospital was fantastic today 7 minutes from registration to completion of labs . We were there at 7:55 left home at 6: 25 am

Back from UVM 3rd and 4th chemo infusions ,this time with some strong stuff added . Doing OK, was a bit constipated but no nausea or other nasty stuff .a bit of Edema but that's expected after sessions so back on Magic pee pill

Was able to walk 2 miles after sessions, Back home now till 9/25 then back to UVM for 2 more sessions .

In between twice weekly labs in Malone and here

Good news they repositioned ports so golf is possible, haven't played in long time I Need the distraction
