ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

Considering I bought mine for $41K after all the incentives, that really isn't a terrible depreciation.

Yeah. I think Elon musk is a nazi dipshit, but I’ve been watching used prices trying to get a bargain basement deal. They really haven’t come down enough (yet?).
Not to get political but Google Akio Toyoda. Not too great either.

Yep
Show me one industrialist that’s a angel
I know a guy who won’t buy Fords because Ford was a Nazi (even though it’s just a boring publicly traded company now).

I guess I just liked it better when industrialists didn’t own social media & have public conversations about nazi shit with other nazis in full public view.

I guess no Volkswagen for you then.

Speaking of Nazis, I have a pair of ski pants from Obermeyer that I bought before I knew anything about the company. It was founded by Klaus Obermeyer who is still very much alive today. He has some story about "escaping Germany" over the Alps on skis that seems to always read slightly differently depending on the source. The Wiki page conveniently leaves it all out. Even if one of the versions of the story is true, he didn't try to escape until the final months of the war when the Allies were closing in.

It's too bad, I like the pants.

GA you have a source for your negative perception of Obermeyer? Your Wikipedia link doesn’t say anything bad about him and his interview on the Powell Movement over the summer - while it’s based on a 105 yr olds recollections - didn’t strike me as lacking in credibility. Episodes 434 & 435 BTW. He says that he was anti-Nazi, did his best to keep his head down during the war and was shot by a German soldier while skiing near the Austrian border towards the end of the war. What am I missing?
