The ballot wording was extremely simple.

"Voting yes means allowing skiing on state land, and approving the acquisition of 2500 acres of forest preserve."

I listened to @Campgottagopee's objection, and I agree there was not enough information about what land they would acquire, but I also think there must be some reason this must be corrected now after all these years. If prop 1 fails the problem will still need to be corrected, and Protect Adirondacks will have more leverage to get a solution they want. Maybe they try to shut down part Mt Hovenberg, or maybe something worse. I'm not sure I'm right about it, but that's the best I could come up with.

It wasn't the ski trails part. It was the zero information about what land is to be acquired that makes you wonder what they are really up to.
