Yup great example of enshitification.

As an Ikon pass holder I'm extremely disappointed at this catering towards elitism at the expense of those of us already spending $1,400. I'll probably go to Sugarbush at some point this season but if I see the Cut the Line program inhibit my experience it would be my last time at Sugarbush likely my last Ikon season.
You will not even notice it, especially since it seems Sugarbush is only running the program on the Super Bravo. I think it is available on all the Stratton lifts and it basically is invisible.

It seems the only line cutting at Sugarbush is on the Super Bravo for $2000. Not exactly a worthy spend. I doubt many people drop the $2k. The private room is interesting, but most people ski with family and friends. Would every member of your group need the $2k ticket? That is not clear.
Apparently the seasonal reserve pass includes:

"2 Friends and Family Discounted Day Passes per day for $99 each (allows access to the club and line cutting only, does not include lift access)"

Made me chuckle that they actually say "line cutting" there, rather than "priority lane access" or whatever

I have a friend who was a full time instructor and ski school manager in Telluride. He had a subsidized house on the mountain. About 10 years ago he told me he was getting “big money.” When I asked he told me 30K. Apparently resort employee money is different from city money.

Telluride locals are gonna vote on how their shiny new Gondi gets paid off.

I’ve spent a good amount of time riding in that gondola. I really love telluride but it’s SO expensive there now.

  • Ownership: The gondola system is owned and operated by the Town of Mountain Village.
The town mountain village doesn't have a place under the million dollar. For the owners that purchased up there that knew that going in.
