The New York State Police, in coordination with the Cohoes Police Department, are actively investigating a homicide that occurred on Earl Lynn Court in Cohoes, New York, on September 14, 2025.

Investigators advise the public that the suspect, Anthony G. Bechand, age 53, remains at large and may be armed and dangerous.

Bechand is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. His clothing description is unknown. He is believed to have been traveling in a white 2024 Chevrolet Silverado.

That vehicle was located earlier today, September 14, 2025, on County Route 60 at the intersection of County Route 86 in the Town of Brighton, Franklin County.

Anyone who has seen Bechand or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the New York State Police at 518-897-2000. Do not approach him. Your assistance is vital as this investigation continues.

NYSP Aviation seems to be focusing in around Mountain View Lake this morning.
 
Recent report said the guy's truck had bloodstains that may indicate an injury to his left side.

EDIT: One of my friends is a swim instructor at ADK Medical Fitness. A member told her the guy was holed up in a camp two houses away from him. A little too close for comfort.

That's wild stuff.

When the big manhunt in the late 70's was going on it was near my grandparents house. I remember driving through roadblocks to get there. I'll never forget it
