Gore Mountain Conditions

Looks like a local spider has decorated the tippy top cam.

Good place to snag some bugs.

New parking lot in the making, just down the hill from Lot G
I heard this was in the making, it will certainly help the buildup of cars parked along the access road, but I don't think it does anything for easing the flow of traffic in the morning. I really wish they could figure out a better traffic pattern for entering Lot E.

Questions for Gore skiers, likely more appropriate for those who aren't local...

Do you ever use this section of NYSB?

If so, what do you think of an additional column on the right where I report the total from HQ?*

This occurs to me as I have often found that Gore underreports snow.

It would not be a true Gore report, but I could put it up at 6am every day. (Need to find a sheltered spot). Also if I am skiing regularly, and Gore posts an overnight total at 9 or 10 am I may not get it until the afternoon.

Whether or not anyone uses the data, I'll continue to do it, it helps me remember things like '15/16 was that terrible year etc.

I've also been considering adding a few sentences at the bottom of each year, like... "Christmas was a wash out, it got cold around Jan 15 and we had 6 weeks of good winter and then the season ended early, in March" or whatever.

*1900 feet, approximately 4 miles as the crow flies from the Gore summit
