87 in the Tri-Lakes. If I wanted weather like this, I woulda stayed in NJ.
Not this particular heatwave, atleast not in the Capital District. Dew points are low and overnight lows are a good 30 degrees cooler than the highs. It's not your imagination, the humidity really has been oppressive lately.

Feel sticky this summer? That's because it's been record muggy East of the Rockies
More than 70 million Americans have experienced the muggiest start to summer on record, with climate change increasing humidity in the Eastern U.S.apnews.com
DEC says its a “normal drought”.I love it.
NY Mesonet todays highs, Lake Placid 89, Gabriels 88, Tupper Lake 88. At least it's been cooling down into the mid 50s the last several nights. Looks like the next few won't go below mid 60s though. Still quite tolerable especially after May and half of June with upper 40s and low 50s with rain. Makes for a short summer.87 in the Tri-Lakes. If I wanted weather like this, I woulda stayed in NJ.
How come the US .gov drought map for NY looks like a duck?DEC says its a “normal drought”.
