Street luge, because speed is your friend.

My dad volunteered as an official for USA Luge for many years. He worked many events in Lake Placid and worked the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City.

He'd cadge a training sled and get some runs in. Not from the top, but from around the halfway point. On both the old track in LP and the Salt Lake track. He never slid (slided?) on the current track in LP.

It wigged me out when he told me he lost it on one run and flew outta the track.

Could be why they try to get em while they're young & fearless.
