My buddy was there and they apparently announced they were not going to open at all at around 10AM. Apparently due to a lack of patrollers. Not sure if this was mostly caused by Vail, coronavirus, or a combination of both, but it's pretty no bueno either way.

Here’s comes that post Christmas covid outbreak we were told was going to likely happen. She’s right on schedule!

The patrollers have to answer questions to qualify to work that day, only 3 or so passed today they are scrambling to get part timers etc, the ski patrol quaters are pretty tight there and a couple patrollers got coved

Even if they get tested they need to quarantine for a few days so... I wouldn't book for a few days. Plus I heard a couple part timers got it too. It's a tangled social web over there. Many Ski patrol spouses and kids are either in ski school or teach ski school so I'm hoping this doesn't become a superspreader event...

Apparently people were loosey goosey with masks and gatherings over the holidays.. I hid out at my house...

I am also hearing that it may be, at least in part, a job action. Source is a former patrol member.

The Hunter feed came up in my Instagram. Many people were outraged, including one who said that a "positive test result doesn't mean that you are ill." ???

Wow. Just wow.
