Beautiful conditions one day after a 20-inch dump. Everything was soft like buttah except a few skied-off areas directly coming off the main lift, where you could see and feel what things were like before the Nor’Easter fixed everything. Spent most of the day doing moguls as even the groomed trails turned into bump fields from all the leftovers. Incredible how much easier they are when you’ve got nice snow to work with.

It's interesting to see the yin/yang of Catskills skiing — compared to Belleayre, Windham is aimed more toward the Stratton crowd. They’ve thrown a lot of money at the infrastructure over the past year ($5 million) and things seem to be well-run here.

Although we arrived Sunday morning — one day late for the real fun — there were lots of leftovers that skied beautifully. Even got a bunch of untouched tree shots to far skier’s left. For today, they groomed most of the bumped up black squares, so the wife was in heaven. This afternoon, we got to make turns with a local legend, ski ambassador Karl Plattner. With two HSQs, you can rack up a lot of vertical, and we had a good time lapping the rolling terrain. About 2.5 hours from our house, so it was a nice family getaway.
