The Washington Post just put up this article that quickly goes through the four major passes to help people decide the right one. Not sure how useful it is or if it'll just be something to react to, but have at it. I think that the comments underneath are probably more helpful.

The article is NOT paywalled.

"Which multi-resort ski pass is best? We compared 4."

For some reason Lab-Song wasn’t in the mix nor was ORDA’s big 3.
Article's a little late for people who purchase season passes. Must’ve slapped it together before Vail’s earnings come out later today...

Also WaPo should also employ a real editor, just sayin.
"The first question is: Do you even need a pass? The answer is yes if:
  • You plan to spend at least a week or a several weekends skiing or snowboarding, especially at some of the pricier resorts.
Emphasis added.

Yup. The commenters explain things better than the author.

Got an old fart NYS SKI3 for $269. Includes 1 voucher & a 1/2 price voucher.
Bought a couple M-F midweek season passes at Gore and later switched to a FSC. This year didn’t get neither but skied “free” Sunday.

Gonna renew a Lab-Song multiple “resort” pass for $399.
Includes 1 voucher & $25 gift card for Heuga’s Alpine establishment.
