Beautiful blue bird day. Temps never above 70°

Difficult hike due to a very steep approach but so worth it for the view.

This short loop always kicks my butt. Last time my knees were throbbing by the end. One of my hike mates suggested taking ibuprofen before, during and after which I’ve contemplated many times before. This time around my knees were completely happy, however, my toes took a beating as we did the loop in a clockwise route of the normal counter clockwise. So coming down put huge pressure on my toes. Ended up with a pretty bad blood blister on a small toe and two purple big toes.
