The Underwear Tree

We all know that one tree at our favorite resort covered in lingerie and Mardi gras beads. Unfortunately over the last few years I've seen them disappear. I just watched as a ski patrolman pulled a lone bra out of a tree on his way up the chairlift. I feel like it's the end of an era....

For the record I'm all about creating an inclusive place for people of different diversities and backgrounds to ski and snowboard. I just thought the trees were a funny part of ski culture and find it hard to believe people were offended.

Next time up, I promise to throw an old pair of my skivvies into a tree
That's all I've ever really wanted. The tree is for all undergarments ha

What mountain were you at? That's sacrilegious!

I believe those trees traditionally would receive offerings in the aftermath of a conquest of sorts. A global pandemic doesn’t lend itself too well to random hookups with people from far flung places.

Plus, you know with the ongoing Disney-fication of the ski biz….we can’t have no bra n panty tree where we’re tryna enjoy some waffles with chocolate sauce.

It didn’t hurt the tree.
They should’ve asked it before any removal of it’s underwear and/or beads.
Maybe ask the local birds too.
Crows like to play with shiny objects.
