Spirit Mountain Minnesota 3/12/22

Well I finally had my first ski day in the state of Minnesota! Spirit Mountain in Duluth was a nice 700 foot vertical hill with nice grooming one high speed six pack and beautiful views of the lower left end of Lake superior. Of course it was included on the Indy pass

They had a good percentage of the hill closed racing today and the line for the express is about 15 minutes and they had two other lifts not operating old Hall triples which was a little discouraging but the views were fantastic,it was good to have some sunshine although it was only about 10° for a high.

Of course on my way up here I had to stop and at least take a few pictures of Mont du lacIn the very far north west corner of the state of Wisconsin. More of an old school area it looks like to me but I wasn’t gonna lay down another 50 bucks just for an hour or two.

So now tomorrow and Monday it’s on to the famous LutsenAt over 800 vertical and aspects of war 360° it should be quite a wanderers good time for me for two days.

If ya could drop in from the roof of the lodge at the top of the Mont du lac bump they’d have a lot more vertical.
Checked out their web page, the lodge up top looks mint.
